Scientists said that the universe is most likely infinite

An infinite world can exist beyond the edge of the universe. This conclusion based on a number of studies was made by a group of scientists from the BBC Science Focus.

According to the data obtained by astronomers, the age of the universe is approximately 13.82 billion years.

When it is assessed from Earth, only the observed portion is seen. This is due to the fact that a person’s gaze is limited to the “cosmic horizon”.

However, scientists know that other galaxies are hidden behind it.

Modern science cannot give a reliable answer whether the universe has an edge. It is also known that the space in which it expands is flat and infinite.

In this regard, astronomers conclude that there is a whole endless world behind its edge. However, due to the peculiarities of vision, a human cannot see it.

The observable Universe is bounded by a ‘cosmic horizon’, much like the horizon at sea. Just as we know there’s more ocean over the horizon, we know there are more galaxies (possibly an infinite number) beyond the cosmic horizon. Their light simply hasn’t had time to reach us yet.
