Two enthusiasts Richard Rossi and Kelly Tabor came to Lake Champlain, on the border of the United States and Canada, to film a film about the local analogue of Nessie – a lake monster named Champ.
On August 11, 2024, they flew a drone over the lake to film their boat from above. And the drone suddenly photographed a large dark spot nearby.

Unfortunately, they noticed this creature only after viewing the footage, so they did not continue to film this section of the lake from above.

Rossi and Tabor believe they were lucky to photograph Champa: “We discovered Champ by chance while watching drone footage. It’s real footage, not fake at all,” says Kelly Tabor.
“We wanted to take some picturesque shots of the lake and we never expected to capture anything like this. We just couldn’t believe our eyes. I’m thrilled to be sharing this unexpected discovery with the world,” added Richard Rossi.
According to some researchers of the unknown, Tabor-Rossi’s study became one of the most reliable pieces of evidence for the presence of a mysterious living creature in Lake Champlain.
