The JWST’s capabilities are far beyond those of its predecessor, the Hubble Space Telescope. Equipped with a 21-foot diameter mirror, the JWST can observe objects in the near-infrared spectrum, allowing it to see celestial bodies that were previously too faint or distant.

Its observations are not only providing clearer images of known astronomical features but also revealing new, unexplained phenomena.
