UFO coverThree more senators were briefed on unknown objects encountered by Navy pilots this week, reports politico.com.

U.S. President Donald Trump informed George Stephanopoulos in a latest interview for ABC News that he was personally briefed on the issue of U.S. Navy pilots reporting UFO sightings.

Now it turns out that on Wednesday, three U.S. senators including Sen. Mark Warner-Senate Intelligence Committee vice chairman-got a comparable briefing.

“If naval pilots are running into unexplained interference in the air, that’s a safety concern Senator Warner believes we need to get to the bottom of,” in a statement, the spokesman for Warner said.

Interest in UFOs has risen since it was disclosed that from 2007 to 2012 the Pentagon was running the secret Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program (AATIP).

The program was launched by then-U.S. Senator Harry Reid-himself a UFO strong supporter.

Recent reports of unrecognized objects flying at impossible speeds-together with a move by the US Navy to standardize UFO reporting-appear to show, that UFOs are something the U.S. government takes very seriously.
