Irish aviation authorities are analyzing reports from several pilots of a unusual object on November 9th. The event began at 6:47am when the pilot of British Airways flight BA94, which was flying from Montreal to Heathrow, reached air traffic control in Shannon to describe the sighting of a UFO.
“It was moving so fast,” she said. “It came up on our left-hand side and then rapidly veered to the north. It was a very bright light that disappeared at very high speed.”
A few other airline pilots in the general vicinity also reported witnessing something strange.
One Virgin Airlines pilot, who had been flying from Orlando to Manchester, characterized it as a “meteor or another object making some kind of re-entry”, but went on to add that there were in fact “multiple objects following the same sort of trajectory – very bright from where we were.”
In accordance to reports, air traffic control was unable to pick up anything on radar and there were no scheduled military training or operations in the area at the time.
The Irish Aviation Authority has since claimed that an investigation in to the situation is underway.
