This one hits home because my wife is a teacher and I almost became one many years ago. The destruction of our education system has been in place since the early 1900s and possibly even earlier. It has really been on full blast starting in the latter part of the 20th century. Many public schools only teach students to pass state tests in order to keep government funding flowing. Kids are graduating without even knowing simple math or how to read - as long as they can pass the test with or without help from the teacher.
