Basically, every religion is based on absolute faith and truth, on tremendous power that serves a person until the end of his life. Religion has an influence on the structure of the thinking of a believer. Religion has a big role in world history, it has existed since prehistoric times and has always served as a source of inspiration for different cultures of the world. So, consider the main religions that most people around the world profess:
Christianity - This is a religion whose geography is the most extensive. The teachings of Jesus Christ formed the basis of this religion, hence the name "Christianity". Christians believe that Jesus is the son of God and believe in the Trinity (God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit). The Bible says that Jesus will return to earth to judge the living and the dead. The Bible is the holy book of Christians, it consists of two parts: The Old Testament and the New Testament. The Old Testament describes life before the birth of Jesus Christ. The New Testament describes the life and teachings of Jesus. There are more than two billion Christian followers around the world.
Buddhism - This is a philosophy built on the teachings of the Buddha. Gautama Buddha was born within the present eastern border of Nepal. He spent his whole life in India and dedicated it to his philosophy of being. His parables were based on the sufferings of Samsara (one of the basic concepts in Buddhism, meaning birth and death). One of the most important symbols of Indian philosophy is the soul. The soul is drowning in the “waters of Samsara,” trying to get rid of its past mistakes, to clear itself. Millions of people in Asia, as well as in other parts of the world, practice Buddhism.
Islam - “Islam” means “obedience to God”, this religion is based on the teachings of Muhammad. Allah sent the holy book Quran to the Prophet Muhammad. The followers of Islam are known as Muslims. They adhere to the five basic principles of Islam, the five rules on which the faith of a true Muslim is based (monotheism, five times daily prayer, charity, fasting in the month of Ramadan, pilgrimage to Mecca).
There are more than 1 billion Muslims worldwide, which makes this the second largest religion after Christianity.
Hinduism - The Indian religion, formerly called "Sanatana Dharma", which means "eternal law." It is believed that Hinduism is the most ancient religion of the world, it does not show a certain unity. Hindu teachings are stored in a large number of scriptures that have carried philosophical teachings for thousands of years. These scriptures are divided into two parts - Śruti ("heard") and Smṛti ("remembered"), they describe the basic dogmas, which are the sacred rules for each follower of this religion.
Hinduism is practiced by about 1 billion people, this religion is the third largest.
Judaism - is the religion of the Jewish people. It is also one of the most ancient religions in the world. The Jews distinguish three main periods in the formation of religion: The Second Temple period (named after the period when the Jerusalem temple existed), Rabbinic and Talmudic. Judaism preaches faith in the one God who created the universe and rules it, in the value of a spiritual person who lives his life in accordance with the laws of God and continuously striving to observe the precepts given in the holy books.
The Tanakh is the so-called “Jewish Bible,” where the creation of the world, man, religious and philosophical aspects of Judaism is told, and the rules that a believer must follow are detailed. Today there are about 13 million Jews around the world.
