What Is Clairsentience?
Clairsentience means “clear sensing” or “clear feeling.” Everyone has it and many of us use it quite often. Have you ever had that feeling of the hairs standing up on the back of your neck when danger is near? Or maybe you just have an odd feeling and turn around to see that someone has been staring at you. These are examples of clairsentience.
Clairsentience is basically being aware and feeling energy. You Pick up on energetic vibrations via your body and emotions. This can come across as “gut feelings,” physical sensations or emotions. Empathy is a form of clairsentience where you can feel others’ emotions and read them.
Developing Your Abilities
A good way to enhance your clairsentience is to develop and strengthen your chakras. Chakras are vortexes of spiritual energy located at various points in the body. While there are many, basic psychic development focused on the seven main chakras located from the base of the spine to the top of the head.
They are the base or root, sacral, solar plexus, heart, throat, third eye and crown. Each chakra vibrates at a different frequency and is represented by a color of the rainbow, starting with red at the base working up to violet at the crown.
Meditation and visualization are wonderful tools for building up the chakras. While meditating you can work on your chakras, focusing on one at a time and working your way up. Starting with the base chakra, visualize a red spinning ball of energy at the base of your spine. See the ball getting brighter and clearing away any dark or negative energy.
When you feel that area is balanced, repeat the same process using orange for sacral, yellow for solar plexus, green for heart, blue for throat, indigo for third eye and violet for crown.
Visualization can also be helpful. You can imagine your body as a rainbow with each color band surrounding the appropriate chakra area. For example a red band would surround the base of your spine area, while a yellow bad would encompass your stomach area both front and back. It’s almost like wearing large stripes of color around each area of the body.
Clairsentience Practice Exercises
As you continue to work on your chakras to build up your psychic muscles, you might also want to work on some specific clairsentience exercises. One is psychometry and the other involves reading emotions.
Have you ever seen a psychic hold an object like a watch or ring and tell you about its owner? That’s an example of psychometry. The psychic uses clairsentience to pick up on the energetic vibrations of that person based on the item. Part of the owner’s energy sticks to the object and the psychic can feel it.
You can do an exercise in psychometry too. See if someone can provide you with an object worn regularly like a watch, necklace or even keys. Hopefully the object is from someone you don’t know very well. Hold the object in your hands and notice what you feel. Is the energy positive or negative, happy or sad? See if you can describe some of the person’s characteristics based on the object.
Another clairsentient exercise involves picking up emotional energy. You’ll need a photo of someone you’re not familiar with. Perhaps a friend can provide you a photo of one of their relatives you don’t know. Take a look at the picture and see if you can get a sense of the person’s emotional state.
Even if they are smiling in the photo, deep down they may be unhappy. Notice what impressions come up. Ask your friend to confirm what you sensed. You may or may not get accurate “hits.” That’s ok keep practicing!
Clairsentience is a useful psychic ability we often use unknowingly. Try working with it in a more conscious way to enhance your life!
